My passion for nursing began in high school, working as a certified nurses aide in a long-term care facility. Inspired to become a registered nurse, I earned my bachelor of science in nursing and then a master of science in nursing in health systems leadership while working for Ascension, St. Vincent.

During my nearly 25 years at Ascension, I gained invaluable experience in diverse roles, including medical-surgical, critical care, inpatient diabetes education, progressive cardiac care unit, medication management services, and leadership positions such as manager of the inpatient diabetes educators and progressive step-down unit. Notably, as manager of the progressive step-down unit, I led the unit when it was designated as a primary unit for COVID-19 patients.

My Passion:

My passion lies in geriatric care. Outside of Ascension, I've assisted clients and families navigate the complex healthcare system, from consultation to private care nurse/manager. My personal experience caring for my grandmother as her guardian deepened my understanding and led me to my current role as an Aging Life Care Manager®.

I am an Aging Life Care Professional and a member of the Midwest chapter and the American Nurses Association. This year, I am pursuing membership in the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.
